I run my cake business from my home. I have two kitchens in my house, one of which is strictly for my business. It is checked by Public Health and I carry a valid business license.
I am a mature woman, married with grown children and grandchildren. My husband and I share our home. We don't smoke or have pets. I have an Bachelor of Education Degree.
I don't do all my cake work by myself. I have an excellent helper that has been with me for 7 years. This enables me to take multiple orders every week. In 22 years I have done well over a 1000 cakes and I have never missed a commitment.
As a small side note, the Instructor Chef at Poly Tech invites me in to teach cake decorating to the 1st and 2nd Year culinary students every year.
Cake consults are free and can be scheduled anytime....day, evening or on the weekends. I am available almost anytime. Make an appointment with me and we will discuss your ideas, the cost and the logistics of getting your cake or cake and cupcakes to your venue. If you are not sure about what you want I have an extensive portfolio that you can view. I do exceptional work and am never afraid to take on a new challenge. I pay particular attention to details and try my best to make your vision a reality.
The cost of my cakes is determined by the number of servings. On average round Buttercream cakes are $3.25 a serving and Fondant cakes are $3.50 a serving. Square cakes cost 10% more. Regular cupcakes are $24 a dozen and mini cupcakes are $13. So decide how many people you would like to serve and then multiply. That will give you the price of your cake. PST and Delivery are extra. I require a $50 deposit at time of booking. The balance is due one week before your event. The addition of large sugar flowers or extensive ruffles cost extra.
Delivery is $25 in the city, $35 to outlying areas.
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours. Because my business is in my home anytime works for me...days, evenings and weekends.
